STROLL or CYCLE for CHARITY

That's the invitation from Knowle and Dorridge Lions who, having held their 25th Knowle Fun Run, are now organising another super fundraising day out for everyone.

This time it's their double header Summer Stroll & Bikeathon from Packwood National Trust House on Sunday13th July.

The Summer Stroll now in its 7th year in aid of Diabetes UK caters for walkers of all abilities with a choice of 2, 7 or 10 miles routes. In aid of Leukaemia Research the Bikeathon already established as a great opportunity for families and companies to make up teams of riders and to choose from 10, 17 or 28 mile routes. Both offer fully signposted circular routes and an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Warwickshire countryside along quiet lanes, footpaths & towpaths, followed by the Lions BBQ in the grounds of Packwood House. Everyone taking part receives a free t-shirt, string bag, medal and certificate depending upon whether they walk or cycle. They can of course do both, if they choose.

'Both these events are now firmly established in our annual calendar,' says Lions President John Heard. 'It means we give everyone the opportunity to walk, run or cycle, to keep fit and to raise funds for a variety of charities during our year. We have had the Knowle Fun Run, now it's the walkers & cyclists turn - not that runners cannot walk and cycle you understand.'

Anyone interested can find out more and enter online at the Lions website www.KnowleandDorridgeLions.com/fundraising.
